ATELIER for CREATIVE DIRECTION
Founder Cecilie Vår Norsahl is the Creative Director of Artsci Magazine in collaboration with The Museum of Awe, NASA(JPL).
Cecilie Vår Norsahl is a graphic designer and creative director, based in Copenhagen.
She works within the realms of contemporary culture, art and design and across multiple disciplines, including graphic design, creative direction, brand identity and publishing. The heart of her work is idea-driven communication, imbued with the aesthetics of calm and quiet elegance.
With a holistic approach, she works towards timeless design solutions. She believes that design should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, adding intention to aesthetics. This can only be achieved with an acute sense of detail and a passion for working conceptually as well as analytically.
To her design is about creating experiences. She has always been interested in the way design evokes distinct behaviors, heightens senses and emotions. She believes that great design has the power to engage people and turn feeling into action and reflection. She strives to create ideas that not only look good but also feel good. I design to excite people, make them curious and inspire change.
She began her career founding Artsci Magazine in collaboration with The Museum of Awe, NASA(JPL). In the past five years, she has worked on a range of personal and collaborative projects, whilst running her own freelance practice. She holds a Cand. Design degree from one of the leading Scandinavian design schools, Design School Kolding.
I love: BIG ideas executed into the smallest details.
I believe: That great design has the power to engage people and turn feeling into action.
I know: That collaboration is key to it all.

Cecilie Vår Norsahl brings with her an open and curious mindset and becomes easily a part of the team. She works methodologically and has a good sense of navigating in and facilitating an explorative process being familiar with design thinking methods. Cecilie is visually strong which is a good combination with brand strategy and design. Lastly, she is a pleasure to work with. Cecilie comes with my warmest recommendation.

Cecilie Vår Norsahl studied at Designskolen Kolding until her graduation in 2018. Quite simply she was one of the most complete students I can remember. Her ability to engage with an enormous range of topics with equal energy and insight means that she is a competent analyser of situations and client needs. If you combine this with an ability to work with different people in her group projects makes her a profoundly competent and precise team player. Further to this, I want to emphasise the dedication she has put into typography, layout and structuring communication. Her master project was a showcase in this regard. I recommend her thoroughly. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.
