It is a project that combines design, psychology, and real-life experiences in 26 methods of communication. The aim is to enable people to be there for one another with love, through loss.

I started with the idea of a collection of method cards to help facilitate talks about love and loss. I had through personal experience been confronted with the taboo and lack of "know-how fracing" when talking with friends and family about the loss of loved ones.
I reached out to the cancer association Kræftens Bekæmpelse and had the privilege of working with a group of young people to listen to their real-life stories.

I designed a questionnaire to help facilitate talks about their individual experience with death, love, and loss. These were the kinds of questions I would play with when designing the Interviews: "How did you experience your own emotional reaction in the time after your loss?" Afterward, I asked people with no experience of loss to answer almost the same questions to see the difference.

Influenced by my findings, the final design displays photographs of different flora, which each represents a method. On one side of the card, there is a flower on the other a method. The method collection is in Danish! The method collection is designed to be given as a gift to oneself, friends, or family. It can be used individually, but I will recommend sharing it with someone you rely on. My hope is that this collection will help a lot of people break the taboo and difficulty of talking about death and loss. The aim is to enable people to be there for one another with love, trough loss.
